Is the training at Prepress Skills Centre recognised?
A:
Yes, Prepress Skills Centre is an RTO (Registered Training Organisation) with the WA Training Accreditation Council and has been an RTO for over eight years.
 
Q:
What experience do the trainers have with education and training and the graphic arts/information technology industry?
A:
The training centre Directors who deliver the majority of training at Prepress Skills Centre have been working in the graphic arts industry for over 28 years and have delivered training for eight and eighteen years respectively. A typical quote from a past student says it all "I’ve finally found a training centre with people that know what they are talking about and can actually teach. It’s nice to be personally trained by an expert instead of being facilitated while working from a book".

What are the class sizes for your short courses?
A:
The average class size is 5 students and are capped at a maximum of 8 students!!
 
Q:
Do I get a certificate when I complete a course at Prepress Skills Centres?
A:
Participants in short courses receive a Certificates of Participation upon completion.

Participants in Training Programs who are assessed as competent for the units of competence from that training program will receive a Certificate of Attainment that complies with the requirements of the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF). Participants also receive a Training Record book signed by the assessor that provides a complete list of all the competencies achieved during the course.

Participants in full certificate courses who are assessed as competent for the units of competence from that training program will receive Qualification Certificates or Certificate of Attainment that complies with the requirements of the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF). Full Certificate courses participants also receive a Training Record book signed by the assessor that provides a complete list of all the competencies achieved during the course.
 
Q:
Does a certificate I receive from Prepress Skills Centre allow me to obtain credit for another course from another school or training provider?
A:
Skills taught at Prepress Skills Centre are centred around competencies from the nationally endorsed Printing and Graphic Arts and Information Technology Training Packages. As a Registered RTO, skills assessed at Prepress Skills Centre are nationally recognised.
 
Q:
How is computer software training conducted at the training centre?
A:
Prepress Skills Centre has well equipped spacious computer labs using the latest versions of software. Computer facilities and seating has been ergonomically designed for safe and effective working conditions. Software demonstrations are conducted with the use of a large projection screen.
 
Q:
You don’t have a course exactly what I’m looking for. What can you offer as an alternative?
A:
Customised training courses can be developed to suit the particular needs of an individual or company. Prepress Skills Centre have delivered many customised training courses in the past for major graphic arts companies in Perth and also in regional areas.
Skills assessment and skills recognition services can also be provided as well as the delivery of training.
